Roger Falter, music for The Fence

Music is not a job for Roger Falter — it is passion, life and soul. But trying to package Roger "as if he was 'flavor of the month' is like cramming your favorite entree into a Big Mac wrapper." Following no specific recipe, Roger simply picks up what's lying around — from rock to funk, from reggae to blues — and creates something new. Steeped in an eclectic flavor of tonal adventure, Roger's music draws on a wide palette of sound, emotion, and influence. In so doing, he transcends genre altogether, conjuring up musical landscapes that defy boundaries.

Based in Colorado's high country, Roger maintains a very busy, well-rounded schedule of live shows and festivals throughout the region (schedule and CD info at www.rogerfalter.com). One night playing with his band, the next night backing up another songwriter; in the studio or live on stage ... Roger's contagious energy on the mandolin and vocals adds the "spice" to the recipe. Roger recently received a 2008 People's Choice Award for Best Songwriter/ Musician.

Roger composed, recorded, and produced the musical score, "Right Brain Lane", which provides the instrumental backdrop for The Fence. Playing mandolin and guitar on the track, Roger is joined by fellow musicians/friends Bob Bradeen (dobro), Dean Oldencott (drums) and Steve Dronzek (bass).

Currently, Roger enjoys life at 9000 feet, continuously courting his muse and "grabbing every precious chance to cruise life's virtual backroads in a 'Right Brain Lane'."
